It had originally had an oval cutout piece of an abalone shell in the center of the ring. That piece fell out and was never to be found. Shauna came up with the idea of replacing it with my son's birthstone (aquamarine). The ring turned out beautiful. The stone setting looks fabulous. This ring has a special meaning for me... I lost my youngest son in a car accident in 2008. Shauna's idea for the stone, and the excellent execution of the work done, is perfection!
